2022 Highlights

We went solar! Matt built us a solar station to power our wash station, our micro greens, and charge our small tools.

With the help of a grant we hosted our first summer intern, Jules, who for her capstone project led a memorable yoga class focused on helping laborers with strength and mobility.

We sold produce to the following local businesses: 12th Ave Grill, Aloha Sweet Remedies, Bottleheads, Chef Mavro, Down to Earth Kailua, Farm Link, Fatto a Mano, First Hawaiian Bank, Fête, Goen, Hawaii Seed Growers’ Network, HeyDay, Holey Grail, Island Vintage Coffee, Kalapawai Kailua Beach, Kalapawai Waimanalo, Key Project, Oahu Fresh, Piccola Onda, Plant Based Paradise, Roy’s Hawaii Kai, Southern Exposure Seed Exchange, Valentina’s Pizza

We aggregated and sold produce from the following local farmers: Bear Claw Farm, Jimmy Hughes Family Farm, GAVA Grow, Hooah Farms, DOJO Enterprises

We visited/hosted the following schools: 'Iolani 7th graders, Ahuimanu 2nd graders, SEEQS 6th graders, Keolu Elementary School

We trialed the following crops: dahlias, brussel sprouts, sweet corn, roselle, and wing beans (all of these crops will be incorporated in the future of our farm)

Matt began learning how to work with bees and honey under the guidance of our friend Doug of DOJO Enterprises

After 18 months in the ground our 3/4 acre field of turmeric was harvested. Final yields TBD.

The biggest highlight of the year: We bought a 5.7 acre 20-year farm lease in Waimanalo!

What to look forward to in 2023

This year will be extra crazy and busy as we move from our current location to the new farm so please brace yourselves for stressed out, loopy Haley ???? I apologize in advance for missed emails, texts, and calls, just keep bothering me if I miss something please!

A NEW farmers' market location! Starting 1/8/23 the Kailua Town Farmers Market will be at Adventist Health Castle Hospital. Please see below for our spot. We are super excited for this new location because it has more vendors, more space to walk around, more trees for sitting under, and more parking!
